Can felons carry pepper spray?

In most states felons are allowed to possess pepper spray, however there a few states where it is prohibited for felons to carry pepper spray. It is a touchy subject, however from my point of view, I would allow pepper spray to any felon because pepper spray is non-lethal… if a felon wanted to commit a crime, they would probably use something a little bit more…lethal?

The states that do NOT allow felons to carry pepper spray:

  1. California
  2. Nevada
  3. New Jersey
  4. New York

If you are a felon and live in one of those four states, I am sorry but you are out of luck. I am glad you did your research before buying pepper spray though, because let us be honest, our jails are filled up and there is no reason for you to be going back to jail for carrying a non-lethal product to protect yourself. I know people think of felons as these big harmful people, but we both know that this is a stereotype that is most likely not true.
